The service

CaptionPair helps language learners view bilingual subtitles on YouTube by translating available caption tracks. The service includes the Chrome extension, web application, and related APIs.

CaptionPair is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

By creating an account or starting a paid checkout, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Use CaptionPair only for personal learning or lawful content creation workflows we support.
  • Do not attempt to download, rip, or redistribute YouTube video streams through CaptionPair.
  • Do not circumvent geographic, age, or paywall restrictions on YouTube content.
  • Do not abuse translation or export quotas, automate excessive requests, or interfere with service operation.
  • You are responsible for how you reuse exported subtitles and for complying with YouTube’s terms and applicable copyright law.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically until canceled through the Creem customer portal unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Fees are quoted in USD unless noted. Taxes may apply based on your location.

Refunds follow our published refund policy and applicable consumer laws. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period unless stated otherwise.

Disclaimers

Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors. CaptionPair is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

YouTube page structure may change; we strive to adapt quickly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted caption detection.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptionPair’s total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50 if you use the free tier.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms or to protect the platform.
